Creating a Portrait in Illustrator

As part of our Illustrator task, we were asked to create a portrait using the pen tool, various compound shapes, and creating your own brushes to develop detail. I found this a very time consuming project but a lot of fun. It kept me focused and challenged. I am very happy with the end results. I still need to work on covering the appropriate shading/shadows, I feel it was a challenge getting the shapes of the shadows/highlights correct. I feel like I could have done better getting the detail more accurate. However, I still really enjoyed the task.

Tutorial No. 2 - Logo

Here is the logo I created, following instructions from Paul Trani Illustrator video tutorial. I found this a really fun and relaxing task and very easy to follow. It gave me a much broader and deeper understanding of how various shapes can be compounded to generate an overall look for various projects, such as Logos, Fonts Icons etc. I changed the colour scheme to suite my own designer preference and thoroughly love the outcome.
